As we approach the April 30th filing deadline for 2016 personal taxes, we are seeing an increase in e-mail scams attempting to obtain your personal information.
We want to remind you to be vigilant with your personal information and not be fooled by e-mails you may receive, particularly ones that appear to be from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) - see example below.
Please note the CRA does send e-mails to taxpayers directing you to the CRA website for account log-in purposes, but they do not issue tax refunds via e-mail.

As a precaution, if you have signed up for electronic mail, it is recommended that you access CRA's website directly and not via a link provided in an e-mail.  If you are unsure of any communication received from the CRA, please contact us first and we would be happy to review.
